Setting up your Pickscan install on BigCommerce

Using the wizard after install

When you open Pickscan for the first time, the setup wizard walks you through the initial configuration before you start picking.

Step 1: Create your first App User

The Pickscan for Android app is used for warehouse picking. Before connecting devices, you need at least one application user. All Pickscan mobile activity is tracked back to the user operating the device, for audit purposes.

Complete these fields to set up your first user:

• First Name (required) — The user's first name (2–50 characters, letters and spaces only).
• Surname (required) — The user's surname (2–50 characters, letters and spaces only).
• PIN Code (required) — A 4-digit PIN the user will enter on the mobile app to log in. Type it manually or click Generate to create one automatically.
• Supervisor (optional) — Toggle on to grant supervisor permissions. Supervisor users have elevated permissions and can access additional features and settings in the Pickscan mobile app.

Note the PIN you set — you'll need it to log in on the mobile app.

Every Pickscan instance is protected by a user PIN.

Click Create User & Continue to proceed.

Step 2: Download the mobile app

On the Android device you'll be picking with:

1. Open the Google Play Store.
2. Search for Pickscan.
3. Tap Install.

Step 3: Connect your device

Pickscan displays a 6-digit device code on the wizard. This code authenticates your device and connects it to your BigCommerce store.

1. Open the Pickscan Android app.
2. Enter the 6-digit code exactly as shown in the wizard.
3. The device appears as connected in your BigCommerce admin.

Click Continue to proceed.

Step 4: Confirmation

The final step confirms your first app user is created and your device is initialised. You are now ready to use Pickscan in your warehouse.
