Pickscan batch pick algorithms

Pickscan offers two batch picking algorithms that group orders for more efficient warehouse picking. Select your preferred algorithm in the batch pick settings.

Group by Postage Service (default)

This algorithm organises orders into batches according to their assigned postage service, such as Royal Mail Tracked 24 or DPD Next Day. It suits operations where packing procedures differ based on service type or where separate dispatch zones are maintained for each service level.

Group by Courier

This algorithm groups orders by their postage vendor — Royal Mail, DPD, Evri, and similar carriers — a broader categorisation than postage service alone. It suits operations where the dispatch workflow centres on carrier-based organisation rather than individual service tiers.
