Managing Pickscan users

Add, manage, and disable the picker users who sign in to the Pickscan Android app. Each user needs a four-digit PIN to sign in.

Before you begin

  • Ensure you have an active Pickscan subscription.
  • Ensure you have admin access to your Shopify store.

Add a user

  1. Open Users

In the Pickscan admin, go to Users and select Add User.

  2. Enter the user's details

Fill in First Name and Surname. Enter a four-digit PIN Code or select Generate to create one automatically.

  3. Set permissions

Tick Supervisor if this user needs elevated permissions in the Android app. Leave it unticked for standard pickers.

  4. Create the user

Select Create User. The user card appears in the list immediately.

Tip

Make a note of the PIN before closing the modal — it is hidden by default once the user is created.

View or share a PIN

Open the menu on a user card and select View PIN, then select Reveal PIN to display the four-digit code.

Supervisor permissions

A supervisor user has elevated permissions in the Pickscan Android app, shown by the Supervisor badge on their user card. Standard pickers do not have these permissions.

Disable a user

Open the menu on a user card and select Disable. The user will no longer be able to sign in to the Pickscan Android app.

Note

Disabling a user cannot be undone from the admin. Contact Pickscan support if you need to restore access for a disabled user.

What happens next

Once a user is created, they can sign in to the Pickscan Android app. See Using the Pickscan Android app for the sign-in steps.
