Configuring Pickscan settings

Opening settings

In Pickscan, click the cog icon in the navigation bar to open the Settings page. Changes take effect after you click Save.

Picking settings

Setting	Description	Options
Use batch/wave picking	Pick multiple orders in one sweep, sourced from Pickscan-generated batches or Linnworks pick waves.	Toggle on/off
Batch Picking Mode	Choose where batches come from. Shown when batch picking is enabled.	Pickscan (default) / Linnworks Pickwaves
Automated Generation Interval	How often Pickscan automatically generates new batches. Shown when batch picking is enabled.	No automated generation / Every 20, 30, 45, 60, 90, or 120 minutes
Maximum Items per Batch	Maximum number of items to include in each batch. Shown when batch picking is enabled and mode is Pickscan.	Number (1–300, default 20)
Batch Algorithm	How orders are grouped into batches. Shown when batch picking is enabled.	Group by Postage Service (default) / Group by Courier

Print settings

To set up label printing (choosing a printer and shipping template), see Setting up label printing in Pickscan for Linnworks. Both a Default Virtual Printer and a Default Shipping Template must be configured before printing will work.

The remaining print settings are:

Assign to Folder on Print	Assign orders to a named folder after printing.	Text input
Default Stock Location	Filter open orders by fulfilment location. Leave as default to use the Linnworks default location.	Dropdown
Print dispatch note on label print	Print a dispatch note each time a label is printed.	Toggle on/off
Dispatch Note Template	The template to use for dispatch notes (Invoice Template types only). Shown when dispatch note printing is enabled.	Dropdown
Restrict duplicate label print	Prevent printing the same label more than once per order.	Toggle on/off

Mobile app configuration

Order Line Sort By	How items are sorted when an order is displayed on the mobile device.	Item Category / Item Name / SKU / Pick Location (String) AZ / Pick Location (String) ZA / Pick Location (Number)
Open Orders View Name	The name of a Linnworks view to use when fetching open orders. Leave blank to use the default view.	Text input
Prevent Processed Order Scans	Block scanning of orders that have already been processed.	Toggle on/off
Log To Internal Order Notes	Add a note to the Linnworks order when actions are performed in Pickscan.	Toggle on/off
Unpaid Order Notification	Show a notification on the mobile app when an order is unpaid.	Toggle on/off
Use Carton Scanning	Enable carton scanning for packing and dispatch workflows.	Toggle on/off

Packing station

Setting	Description	Options
Enable Packing Station	Allow warehouse staff to access a dedicated packing interface from their browser. Disable to revoke access.	Toggle on/off
Whitelisted IPs	Only devices on these IP addresses can access the packing station. Shown when the packing station is enabled.	Add/remove IP addresses
