Managing users in Pickscan
Add, view, and disable the picker and supervisor users who sign in to the Pickscan mobile app. Each user needs a four-digit PIN to sign in.
Users page overview
The Users page shows everyone who can sign in to the Pickscan mobile app. Each user appears as a card with their name and role. A summary line at the top shows the total number of users, pickers, and supervisors.
Pickscan uses PINs rather than passwords. Every scan and action is recorded against the signed-in user, giving you a full audit trail of warehouse activity.
Add a user
- Open the Users page
In Pickscan, go to Users.
- Click Add New User
The Add New User modal opens.
- Enter the user's details
Fill in First Name and Surname.
- Set a PIN
Enter a 4-digit PIN, or click Generate to create one automatically. The user enters this PIN to sign in to the mobile app.
- Choose whether to make them a supervisor
Turn on the Supervisor toggle if this user needs elevated permissions in the mobile app. Leave it off for standard pickers.
- Create the user
Click Create User. The user appears on the Users page and can sign in to the mobile app immediately.
View a user's PIN
If a user forgets their PIN, you can look it up from their card.
- Find the user
Locate the user on the Users page.
- Open the menu
Click the three-dot menu on their card and select View PIN.
- Reveal the PIN
Click Reveal PIN to show the 4-digit code.
Disable a user
Disabling a user prevents them from signing in to the mobile app. This cannot be undone.
- Find the user
Locate the user on the Users page.
- Open the menu
Click the three-dot menu on their card and select Disable.
- Confirm
Click Disable User to confirm.
Pickers and supervisors
There are two user roles in Pickscan:
- Picker — a standard warehouse user who can scan orders and perform stock checks on the mobile app.
- Supervisor — has elevated permissions in the mobile app with access to additional features and settings.
You choose the role when creating a user by toggling the Supervisor switch.
