Setting up your Pickscan install on Shopify
Using the setup wizard
When you open Pickscan from the Shopify admin for the first time, the setup wizard walks you through initial configuration.
- Create your first app user
All Pickscan mobile activity is tracked to the user operating the device. Fill in First Name, Surname, and a 4-digit PIN Code, which you can type it manually or click Generate. Toggle Supervisor on to grant elevated permissions in the mobile app. Note the PIN; you will need it to log in on the device. Click Create User & Continue.
- Download the mobile app
On the Android device you will use for picking, open the Google Play Store, search for Pickscan, and tap Install.
If you cannot find Pickscan in the Play Store, contact Pickscan support.
- Connect your device
Pickscan shows a 6-digit device code. Open the Pickscan Android app and enter the code exactly as shown. The device appears as connected in your Shopify admin. Click Continue.
- Confirm setup
The final screen confirms your first user is created and your device is connected. You are now ready to start picking.
A dismissible tip banner appears the first time you open the embedded app. It highlights the main picking and packing workflows. Close it once you are familiar with the interface.
